The 2017 Harvest of the Grapes Celebration is a happy-hour wine social at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park on September 28, 2017, 6-10pm. The event is organized by The Hellenic Cultural Society of San Diego and the Mingei International Museum (see event flyer in the following photos).
The event features gourmet appetizers and drinks from a fine selection of contemporary greek wines, craft beer and spirits. This is an opportunity to bring your friends or meet people for an evening among the unique Mingei International Museum exhibitions. And while having a great time, our guests have had the chance to win some very tasty prizes at the opportunity drawing on that evening, too, thanks to our generous sponsors Meze, Poseidon, Athens Market Taverna, Georgia’s, Santorini, Taverna Blu, Saganaki, and a special gift from the Mingei International Museum. In the 2017 event, our opportunity drawing also featured a fabulous 10-day, all inclusive stay for 2 at the Peninsula Spa and Resort in Crete, Greece, won by A.K. Patch (photo courtesy of G. Karayiannis).
The event is for ages 21+, and valid ID and age limit are required for admission.
Tickets have been available online at: harvestAtMingei.brownpapertickets.com until Sep. 27. Ticket price includes admission and appetizers. Discounted member prices have been available for Hellenic Cultural Society and Mingei International Museum members. Pricing is as follows:
- Online until September 27: $25 ($15 for members)
- Door price: $30 ($20 for members)
